Trusted Interior Designer With Over 20 Years of Experience

I’m Kari Taverna, and I have been in the kitchen and bath industry for over 20 years. I can honestly say, after all this time, I am even more passionate about designing than I was when I first started my career. This industry is ever‑changing with new style trends, innovative technology, advanced lighting options, and space-saving solutions. So needless to say, my love for designing and problem‑solving keeps evolving.

For as long as I can remember I wanted to be an Interior Designer. I stayed focused, and in 1999, I graduated from The Art Institute of Philadelphia with my degree in Interior Design.

Right out of college, I jumped into kitchen and bath design and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of this remodeling field. I started at a box store, designing and expediting orders.

To further expand my knowledge, I worked at a premier kitchen and bath installation company, reviewing and editing designs, scheduling installations, and project managing.

While this experience was amazing, I felt something was lacking. I missed working with clients and expressing my own creativity, so I decided to go back out designing for smaller kitchen and bath firms to hone my craft. I have come full circle and truly enjoy helping clients make their dreams come true.

I firmly believe your home should be your happy place, your sanctuary, and a reflection of who you are. Moods are determined by the spaces we inhabit. Surrounding yourself with who you love, around the things you enjoy, is the key to a happier life.

When it comes design, I think function first; look amazing second. Every design feature should play a functional role to help you organize and make your life easier, then sprinkle in some special details to make your space uniquely yours.
